Individual Therapies with Agnieszka
Aga is an assistant tutor for the Holistic Therapeutic Massage diploma and MFR courses. She also reviews and marks the student’s homework / practice exam questions throughout the course.
Aga’s adventure with massage started when she took an Introduction to Massage Course at the School of Holistic Therapy in 2015, which she followed with the Diploma course in Holistic Therapeutic Massage. She says “What a great ten months they were. I loved it, always looking forward to the next course weekend. I learned massage pain-relieving techniques (including myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques and stretching) as well as anatomy, physiology and pathology. I also learnt a great deal about myself and the importance of listening and recognising not only physical but also emotional state of people we work with.”
As well as completing the MFR course with Simonetta, she has also learnt to work with fascia from two specialists who teach very different techniques.
She has also completed six courses with Hugh Gilbert, an amazing Scottish physiotherapist developed Kinetic Chain Release, a system of gentle stretches and joint mobilisations that brings the body back into balance – and is now an accredited practitioner of KCR.
Her latest venture was to travel to Chiangmai in Thailand in September 2018, to learn Traditional Thai Massage.
