FAQs

Yes, we are accredited by the Massage Training Institute, an accrediting body attached to the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council CNHC). They send an examiner who assesses our students individually at the end of their training.

Find out about the different courses on offer. Think about the kind of massage you would like to do. Check out the standard of qualification you get at the end of your course. Importantly, look at the amount of teaching and practice hours involved. Short courses do not make for good therapists; 150 hours should be a minimum. Think about what time you can commit to study.

It shouldn’t be anything like school! Unless you were lucky enough to have enthusiastic teachers who helped you play games, make models, do quizzes, draw or label pictures.

I find the way the body works truly amazing, the more we teach, the more we learn ourselves. We make your learning fun so it’s easy to remember things.

An informed holistic massage, done after asking the right questions about the client’s health, can actually change someone’s life. I have this happen time and time again, even in students’ work. For example one recent student worked with someone who suffered from anxiety and was unable to make the changes he wanted. After a few sessions, he changed his job and moved house! Other people have made life changes just because they started to feel better about themselves. It’s very rewarding being able to make a real difference to someone’s life or to relieve long-held pain.

So a holistic therapeutic massage is one that makes you feel better in every way, not just physically.

This is why we offer an Introduction to Holistic Therapeutic Massage as a way of helping people to make up their minds. You don’t need to have any prior knowledge or experience, just enthusiasm. It is fun and you come away having learned how to give a good basic treatment as well as having a flavour of our teaching. You would also be able to meet and talk to us and the graduates and students who assist us.

You would have the professional expertise to work in a heath clinic, voluntary organisation, hospice, medical centre or to set up in your own practice. The wonderful thing is that you work hours to suit yourself in a job that you love. The practice in our clinic during the course gives our students great confidence.

We can help you with advice on how to go about doing your books, marketing your skills and anything else that you need to know to set up in professional practice. You will also be able to take advantage of our assistants/graduates' experiences starting up professionally.

Our massage course is an excellent foundation. After graduating you can continue your professional development with advanced courses and maybe branch out into aromatherapy, sports and other types of massage.

I am delighted to say I have had excellent feedback from advanced course tutors on how well prepared our students were.

If you study with us you will get everything you need from a course and much more.
