MFR for Trauma

The emphasis on this course is on myofascial unwinding on the clothed body. Please visit our Myofascial Release Course for a full description and to get a better understanding of the role of fascia in the trauma response.

This course is especially structured for practitioners who already work with trauma somatically, as well as people who have already done our Somatic Trauma Therapy training.

Sometimes people will respond better to myofascial unwinding than verbal practice. They may find it hard to feel into their bodies, and myofascial unwinding can help them relax in such a way that nervous system regulation can be easily induced. Unwinding can be incorporated into a session of somatic work and can be a way to work deeper into the body. It can also be a remarkably effective for the reduction of pain.
